My Favorite Place is Temple of the Tooth (ශ්‍රී දළඳා මාළිගාව)

Image
] Temple of tooth is my favorite place to go in my life. I really like to worship our great Buddha. I mostly go to Kandy by train. I can go to Kandy in a day. So at the same time I go to the city to worship Him with devotion on the days I can.        Below is a detailed description of Temple of Tooth.; The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic or Sri Dalada Maligawa,(Sinhala: ශ්‍රී දළදා මාළිගාව) is a Buddhist temple in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. The relic was historically held by Sinhalese kings. The temple of the tooth is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple and the relic. Bhikkhus of the two particular chapters, the Malwathu chapters and Asgiri chapters, conduct daily worship in the inner chamber of

My favorite place is Adam's Peak or Śrī Pāda (ශ්‍රී පාදස්ථානය)

Image
Adam's peak is another favorite shrine of mine. Actually, it is a place that I have never been to, even though I would love to go. So I hope to go soon. When going to Sri Padasthana, the beauty around it is beyond words. Also, because it was touched by the Buddha's feet when he was alive, the power there is also great. So I have given more details about this place below. Adam's Peak or Śrī Pāda is a 2,243 m (7,359 ft) tall conical sacred mountain located in central Sri Lanka.[1][2] It is well known for the "Śrī Pāda" (Sinhala: ශ්‍රී පාද), i.e., "sacred footprint", a 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) rock formation near the summit. In Buddhist tradition the print is held to be the footprint of the Buddha. Samanolagira, there are many inscriptions about Sripadaya and the kings who worshiped it. Mahavamsa, Dipavamsa, Chulavamsa, Adi Vamsa Katha and Rajavaliya, Samantha Koota Varnaveda written in the Dambadeni era and many books written in the Kotte era can be found. In

I really like this indian dhol playing. It is also a hobby of mine. I also use it as a hobbyist. It is played for various festivals. So when talking about this instrument, the stem is wood and it is also made from fiber and plastic. It has two sides and on one side a cow or camel or goat skin is used and on the other side a plastic vellum is used. This is a very popular product in Indian culture. It is also popular in Sri Lanka today. This Indian Dhol Instrument of Indian origin has become famous in Sri Lanka today. It is used in Sri Lankan weddings as well as for various occasions. Dhol can refer to any one of a number of similar types of double-headed drum widely used, with regional variations, throughout the Indian subcontinent. Its range of distribution in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan primarily includes northern areas such as the Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Kashmir, Sindh, Assam Valley, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Bihar, J

My favorite place is Ruwanweliseya ☸️ (රුවන්වැලි සෑය)

Image
RUWANWELISEYA (රුවන්වැලි සෑය) Ruwanwaliseya is the holiest place I visit once every year, which I have the most respect for as a Buddhist. I have a great devotion to this place since Dronayak relics. I usually go here in the morning or after 5 pm. I find this place very comforting during those times. This year too I am going to visit my favorite and trusted Ruwanwaliseya in a few days. Ruwanweliseya Stupa (Ruwanveli Seya Stupa), the foremost of the supremely glorious ancient living monuments of Sinhalese Buddhist Heritage at the city of Anuradhapura (a UNESCO World Heritage Site-Culture) was built by King Dutugamunu (161-137 BC), the Hero of the Nation, who hailed from Ruhuna, which was destined to give birth to most of the glorious heroes of the island nation of Sri Lanka from the ancient era to the modern day. Ruwanweliseya Stupa (Ruwanveli Seya Stupa) also called Maha Stupa (Sinhala: the great dagoba) or Ratnapali Stupa or Swarnamali stupa has been the most adored, most venerated

My favorite place is Kelaniya Temple☸️ (කැළණිය රජමහා විහාරය)

Image
KELANIYA TEMPLE Kelani Viharaya is another favorite place of mine. I can reach this temple in about an hour from home. Buddha's third journey to Sri Lanka took place here. As a Buddhist, this is one of my most revered and favorite places. I definitely go here several times every year. In fact, we can show this as a precious place of worship in Gampaha district.        A detailed description is given below. Buddhists believe the temple to have been hallowed during the third and final visit of the  Buddha  to Sri Lanka, eight years after gaining  enlightenment . [3]  Its history would thus go back to before 500 BCE. The  Mahawansa  records that the original  Stupa  at Kelaniya enshrined a gem-studded throne on which the Buddha sat and preached. The temple flourished during the  Kotte  era but much of its land was confiscated during the  Portuguese empire . Under the  Dutch empire , however, there were new gifts of land and under the  patronage  of  King Kirthi Sri Rajasingha  the t
