My favorite place is Adam's Peak or Śrī Pāda (ශ්‍රී පාදස්ථානය)

Adam's peak is another favorite shrine of mine. Actually, it is a place that I have never been to, even though I would love to go. So I hope to go soon. When going to Sri Padasthana, the beauty around it is beyond words. Also, because it was touched by the Buddha's feet when he was alive, the power there is also great. So I have given more details about this place below.

Adam's Peak or Śrī Pāda is a 2,243 m (7,359 ft) tall conical sacred mountain located in central Sri Lanka.[1][2] It is well known for the "Śrī Pāda" (Sinhala: ශ්‍රී පාද), i.e., "sacred footprint", a 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) rock formation near the summit. In Buddhist tradition the print is held to be the footprint of the Buddha.Samanolagira, there are many inscriptions about Sripadaya and the kings who worshiped it. Mahavamsa, Dipavamsa, Chulavamsa, Adi Vamsa Katha and Rajavaliya, Samantha Koota Varnaveda written in the Dambadeni era and many books written in the Kotte era can be found. In the Deepavamsa, Sri Pada is described as 'Samantha Kutha' and in the Mahavamsa written in the 5th century, it is mentioned that the Buddha is higher than Sri Pada Mountain.

Sripada Kanda can be reached by about 6 routes. Ratnapura-Palabaddala, Hatton-Nallathanni, Kuruvita-Eratna, Muryawatta, Mookuwatta and Malimboda roads can be called as those roads. Out of these 6 routes, 2 Nallathanni and Palabaddala routes are very famous.

The mountain is also seen as the abode of the deity Saman and also goes by various names associated with this, including Sumanakūta (Sumana's Mountain) and Samanalakanda (Saman's Mountain or Mountain of the Butteries).

The Sri Pada Karuna season begins at the end of the year, i.e. December and the pilgrimage season ends by May of the following year. During the other months of the year, the Sri Pada trek is difficult. It is due to heavy rain, strong winds and foggy weather. April is the best time to do Siripa Karuna. It is during this time that the sun shines on the top of the mountain and it leads to a good view of the solar eclipse.

Sri Pada can be mentioned as a great sacred place of Buddhists.
